If your loan is serviced by Freedom Mortgage, you can easily request a payoff statement online, by phone, or by fax. A payoff statement shows the total amount needed to pay off your mortgage in full and includes your unpaid principal balance, accrued interest, escrow balance, and any outstanding fees.
Whether you’re selling your home, refinancing, or simply reviewing your mortgage, here’s exactly how to get your payoff statement.
Why You Might Need a Payoff Statement
A payoff statement (sometimes called a payoff quote) shows the total amount needed to pay off your loan in full as of a specific date. Lenders often require this document when you’re refinancing, selling your home, or finalizing a mortgage application.
Step-by-Step: How to Request a Payoff Statement from Freedom Mortgage
1. Log in to your account
Go to freedommortgage.com or open the Freedom Mortgage Mobile App and log in to your account.
2. Navigate to your payoff request
If you’re using a web browser:
- Select Loan Information from the top menu.
- Choose Account Summary from the dropdown.
- Select Make a Request, then Submit a Request under Payoff Quote.
If you’re using the mobile app:
- Tap More from the bottom navigation.
- Select Make a Request, then Payoff Quote.
3. Choose request details
- Select your reason for requesting the payoff from the dropdown menu.
- Choose a Payoff (Good-Through) Date.
- Click Submit.
Your payoff statement will include the total amount required to pay off your loan, including all balances and fees.
Note: A small fee may apply based on your state. For FHA loans, the payoff date may default to the last day of the month and cannot be changed.
Once submitted, you can view your payoff statement online by following these steps:
- Log in to your Freedom Mortgage account.
- Select Statement from the navigation menu.
- Choose Payoff Request from the dropdown.
- Select your desired Payoff Statement to open it.

If a third party (such as a title company or attorney) needs your payoff information, be sure to include a signed authorization allowing them to receive it.
If you have automatic payments set up, cancel them before your payoff is processed.
- Payments begin processing 72 hours before the scheduled date, so cancel at least three days in advance to avoid duplicate payments.
- You can cancel through your Freedom Mortgage account or your external bill-pay service.
If a payment is processed after your loan is paid off, Freedom Mortgage will help you with the return payment process.
- You will no longer have an escrow account once your loan is paid off.
- If Freedom Mortgage has been paying your property taxes or homeowners insurance, contact your tax authority and insurance provider directly to update billing information.
- Any remaining escrow funds will be refunded to you as required by law.
