How to Get a Venmo Statement
If you use Venmo for payments or transfers and need a record of your transactions — for a mortgage application, personal budgeting, or tax preparation — you can download a statement directly from the Venmo website. Note: Statements are not available in the Venmo app.
🌐 Accessing Venmo Statements Online
1. Log In on venmo.com
Visit venmo.com using a web browser and sign in with your account credentials.
2. Go to the “Statements” Section
Once logged in, navigate to the “Statements” area. This is typically found under the “Settings” or “Privacy” menu, depending on Venmo’s current site layout.
3. Choose the Month and Year
Use the dropdown menu to select the month and year of the statement you need.
4. Download as CSV
Click on the “Download CSV” option to save a copy of the statement to your computer. This format can be opened in spreadsheet programs like Excel or Google Sheets.
📱 Important Notes
- Venmo Mobile App:
The mobile app only shows your recent transactions in the “Me” tab. You won’t be able to access or download full statements within the app.
- Linked Bank Accounts:
If you’ve linked a bank account to Venmo, remember that your actual bank statements must still be retrieved through your bank’s website or app — not Venmo.
- Tax Documents (Form 1099-K):
If you meet the IRS reporting threshold for receiving payments through Venmo, Venmo will notify you when your 1099-K tax form is available. This typically happens around January 31st, and the form will be accessible via the app and by email.
